Introducing NWR/Demon Designs UK’s Nicky Wilson

Nicky Wilson returns to the Ducati TriOptions 848 Challenge for a second season with NWR/Demon Designs UK and is eager to build on his previous campaign.

Wilson is the first of the 2013 grid to talk about the season ahead, with an exclusive Q&A for the Ducati TriOptions 848 Challenge official website.

What are your aspirations for 2013 and also your greatest challenge?
My ambition is to run consistently in the top ten and the challenge? Last season was extremely competitive and I'm expecting this year to be no exception.

What has been your career highlight to date?
Racing in the European rounds of the 848 Challenge last season; Misano was an incredible experience.

Why have you chosen to race in the Ducati TriOptions 848 challenge in 2013?
The bike is fantastic and the championship is well run. Last season it had great support from Ducati UK which is good for attracting sponsors. The championship also attracts a good cross-section of riders or all ages and abilities.

What has been your previous experience of Ducatis?
Racing in the 2012 848 Challenges, but now I am a Ducatisti through and through.

How are you currently preparing for the start of the season?
Lots of fitness work to train the body and focus the mind. I recently competed in an extreme running competition called Hell Runner and finished 113th from 959 finishers.

With the new Ducati dealer league for 2013, are you supported by a Ducati dealer, if so which one?
I don't have any dealer support as such, but if one would like to offer me support that would be great!
