Hobbs confirms return to the Challenge at Donington Park

Dennis Hobbs will make a welcome return to the Ducati TriOptions 848 Challenge at the second round of the series at Donington Park next weekend (24/25/26 May) supporting the Superbike World Championship event.

Hobbs has been a podium finish in the class previously and after recovering from an injury sustained prior to the start of the season; the Scottish contender has aspirations of a solid performance on his return. The team, supported by Ducati Glasgow, will test the bike for the first time at the event and are keen to score some strong points as they bid to make up for missing the season opener.

Hobbs said: "I am looking forward to racing again and I hope that now we are back we can continue until the end of the season. I was meant to race at Brands Hatch at the opening event but I managed to break my foot before the first round and it meant I couldn't get everything ready in time; the plus side is that with only one race so far we are not going to be miles behind hopefully.

"The bike hasn't turned a wheel since last year so hopefully we can get to Donington and just get cracking straight away. Initially we will probably be looking for the top six, although obviously I don't know where everyone else is until we get on track for free practice. We did a few rounds last year and managed to score some podiums so hopefully we can have a good start to our season."
