Marty’s back for more as Ducati TriOptions Cup gets underway

Marty Nutt begins the defence of the Ducati TriOption Cup this weekend on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit as he heads up the 28 strong rider line up on the all new 899 Panigales.

The Ulsterman is aiming for a repeat of his dominant form of last term when he was a podium finisher in all but one of the races continues to race in Ducati Coventry/JHP colours and knows the importance of early season points.

Jonathan Railton, the runner-up to Nutt, is eager to go one better this time around as he lines up on the Boast Plumbing bike while Leon Morris and Dennis Hobbs, both front runners during the previous season will add to the competitive edge along with former British Supersport title winner David Heal.

Another to keep an eye on is Rob Guiver, a former British 125GP title winner who in the past couple of years has won both the Triumph Triple Challenge and then the Motorpoint British Supersport Cup but in this series with its evenly matched bikes anything is possible.

Darren Fry, Nutt's team-mate, should be at the sharp-end of the pack, along with Sean Neary and Sean Gilfillan while journalists Alastair Fagan, of Fastbikes, and MCN's Adam Child will be keen to turn on the winning style and report on their success to their readers.
